Development team started to research in the field of nanosecond electronics and transient electromagnetics at the beginning of the 90s of last century. The first scientific publication on the topic dates from 1997.
Result of many years of R&D work was a ground penetrating radar (GPR), the first example of which was presented in 2004. Since then the VIY series GPR found their customers in Brazil, China, Great Britain, Greece, Israel, Russia, Ukraine, etc.
The name of GPR - VIY - is borrowed from Nikolai Gogol's "Viy". The eponymous character could see through the ground and other obstacles. The VIY GPR have the same ability. Later, Transient Technologies LLC has registered the VIY® trademark. |
